    I read about this before......

Its not really a flaw, she just changed the time which made the game think differently........

It's definitely a flaw it's just not super impressive (I've been doing this for ages and I hardly came up with the idea) and it's only relevant to specific games/ programs/ phones. You need admin priviledges to change the time on Win7 anyway.

What's more interesting is that you can still do this kind of thing to manipulate programs. I'd assumed that programmers were aware of this, most of us were doing this 20+ years ago. Good on her for finding it's still the case, and making a presentation about it.

I'm sure anyone using computers when they were children would have looked for flaws in games, it's the most basic kind of 'hacking' there could be. Broken points on the map, exploiting predictable AI, infinite point glitches, hex editing. I remember altering files in Golden Axe so I could be one of the giants, or one of the dragons, etc.

Finding glitches in old games was fun =p but I never thought I was a hacker.

    Still, good for her.

LOL if you play a game, you should play the game without any tricks to success. Just use the EASY level. No need for cheating. Or look online for any tip on secret paths. :D

Sometimes after I beat a game I'll cheat and put it on "Hard" or "Nightmare" and see if I can beat it with infinite gold or something =p

I agree, but these are things we learn as children from cheating ;)

Even the Smashing Pumpkins used noclip, and probably learnt a lot about level design in the process!
