Everyone loves this sort of thing, it seems, so see how well you do... http://i.euniverse.com/funpages/cms_content/4462/real_or_hoax1.swf (I scored a six- probably not a passing mark...) EDITED: another real or hoax test added below!!!!!
I got 9 - knew several already I figured the snowflake one was fake - oops! That's really somethin' then
That was pretty cool, Gal Thanks for the link. Like Detox, I got 9/10 ... I had seen most of those pics before ... except the Worm / Eye ... Which I got wrong.
I had seen some, too, esp. that INFAMOUS 9/11 one- c/mon!- but kept hitting "real" for the heck of it, I think. The eye one I did get right.... I goofed on kitty, but I have a monster, too, and just couldn't.........
Hey! I got 8/10!!! I thinks that's pretty darn good for me!! I missed the Angel ice sculpture & Satan's face in the smoke. Guess I'm not quite as Godly as I thought. Church on Sunday for me! Eye one grossed me out, too!! I couldn't hardly see the 'fish/face' one.
http://www.museumofhoaxes.com/tests/hoaxphototest.html another real or hoax quiz! some of the same images, and I think you'll do well on it overall...... but one had me!
Ok, I only got 7/10 that time. I thought the bear looked pretty fake, oops!! As much as I love Pres. Bush (nobody yell at me!!) I really thought he was holding the book upside down. And, How the heck does someone have a camera fast enough to take a picture of a plane going the speed of sound!!! I kind of forgot how I answered the same ones on the other quiz.
LOL ... not so good this time 8/10 I got Bush Pic (which I swear is real) and the sonic boom wrong. Stupid dog
No13- I knew that there were actually four levels on that second test, but I didn't want to push it to overkill at that moment. But I should have pointed that out. Perhaps we could post if we wish on "Museum 2", " Museum 3", or "Museum 4" (an easy way to name the tests, after the website's first title word) ... I mean if anybody's into it. I haven't but glanced at the next test, but will do so today I thnk! It's fun stuff, and I taught old fashioned photography way back, when really good fakes were way too much trouble for most pranksters to bother with very often. But the advent of digital imaging has made every Tom, Dick and Harry pretty quickly capable of fabricating some convincing images that even experts sometimes can deem fakes only on their gut reaction to the absurdity or overal unbelievability of a piece. Crafty, careful digital tomfoolery can correct lighting and shadows and colors in ways that manipulation in the darkroom just can't parallel, unless you have state of the art , very costly equipment, and a big chunk of time to kill... Glad some of you liked that sort of thing! Tests 2,3, and 4 are here: http://www.museumofhoaxes.com/tests/hoaxphototest.html
