I'm a new user of NOD32 in Windows ME, this is my first post here. This is my info:

I have only Norton Utilities (2001) and Clean Sweep installed, not the antivirus program.

No problems, they will just remain in the list, that's all.

You cannot pare the list from within the program, but you can remove obsolete entries within the registry. As with any registry modification make sure you have a back up and are prepared if something breaks. This seems to work fine for me though.
The list is stored in the UserAgentList in the format of agent1 "\" program1 "|" agent2 etc.
HKLM/Software/Eset/Nod/CurrentVersion/Modules/Imon/Settings/
Here is a sample with IE and Firefox
Mozilla/4.0\IEXPLORE.EXE|Mozilla/5.0\FIREFOX.EXE|NOD32 Update\NOD32KRN.EXE

To remove Firefox for instance "|Mozilla/5.0\FIREFOX.EXE" would be removed. Note only one "|" is removed.

To remove IE from the list "Mozilla/4.0\IEXPLORE.EXE|".

In your case you would want to remove either a leading or following "|" as in "|Symantec LiveUpdate/Lucomserver.exe" or "Symantec LiveUpdate/Lucomserver.exe|"

Most programs do not rename the exec program so unless the program switches to another "agent" it would not be an issue.

That's a bit more trouble than I had hoped, I may poke around in the registry a bit, but I probably won't worry about it unless it becomes a problem. I will back up first if I decide to attempt to edit the registry.

 

I was going to also mention you could just reinstall and the list would be created new with only the active programs being used placed but you read it before I got back

 

I just wanted to report back and say thanks to FirePosts clear instructions I was able to find and delete the old version of Lucomserver from the client compatibility list. Also, there were no problems with duplicated entries in the client compatibility list when I upgraded to the first testing release of SeaMonkey 1.0a today, so all is well.
