    Hi Guys,

When I try to download the new Itunes ver 4.9, I get the following message when clicking on download button:

"Your current security setting do not allow this file to be downloaded."

    Tried so far without success:

    1. Rename BlueTack hosts, reboot No Luck
    2. Clean Boot. run > msconfig > disable all startups, same for all non ms
services - reboot. Still the prize ver 4.9 alludes me.
    3. Place the url for Itunes download page in IE-trusted zone. Dream on
    Rico its not that simple.
    4. System restore, to 6/20/2005 - No Luck - On 6/16/2005 I installed
IE-Spyad, Geez! I sure would not think SB or IE-Spyad would block
    apple Itunes.
    5. Other web sites I can download just fine, Including Itunes songs Go
    figure
    6. Asked a friend very similar XP box to download Itunes 4.9. he had no
    problem.
    7. Posted Message at Itunes support forum, at least 8 others, on there
forum get the same error message. No replies.
    8. Search there KB - no help
    9. Googled the error message - advised to set internet zone to 'medium'
    already is.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks
    rico

what is ur internet zone set to? try changing it to low (temporarily). a better alternative is to use Firefox, in fact, why arent u using it? and lastly, when u download the file is there a yellow bar below the address bar?

Greetings WSFuser, Since my first post I did test by going to security (internet zone) > custom level > enabled all items in ActiveX section & Downloads section > reboot > try downloading NO LUCK > do not see that annoying yellow bar about downloading. Oh! i put those security things back to "medium."

I got to meet & got Bill G's autograph, at COMDEX many many moons ago, hence I'm loyal - till it hurts. Why i use IE.
