All day today my event log has been filling up with “Error connecting to server” notices. I did received 1.1158 update successfully however. Same deal with the other computer in my house which has the trial installed on it. Anyone else notice the same? Usually I only get these every once in a while. Anyone know what is going on with the servers?

I have been getting errors too. In fact, I have had trouble getting to any related ESET site today.

Even though I have set my updater settings to choose server automatically, since yesterday NOD32 seems to be using 82.165.250.33 more than anything else, maybe thats why I dont see the errors (could be related to the bogus nameservers record thingy).....

Yes, there was a problem with DNS. It will take some time for the new DNS records to propagate to all servers.

There is certainly no connection with the DNS issue. If it was the case, he/she should have updated from 82.165.250.33 at least.
