The statement by Happy Bytes that, Depends on the driver If he drives carefuly nothing will happen, is not just misleading, but completely untrue !

He can not be really suggesting that all mechanical/electrical etc faults/errors are the result of the driver ? And they are not ! So it follows that faults/errors in a particular AV must be the result of sloppy/mistaken programming.

I tend to agree that the driver has much to do with the result of the AV. For example, if Sister Mary Jo spends her day surfing to find new variations of the Hail Mary while NOD32 runs quitely in the background, it will be a great performing AV for her. On the other hand, if Cracker Jack is protected by KAV but disables that protection to download stolen passwords for porn sites, he'll have problems.

The point is they're both great AV's when used right. I doubt either would be as successfull if they were ridden sloppy programming and constant faults.
