I have done multiple scans with norton anti-virus and Ad-Aware and they have identified DyFuCA as "malware" but for some reason they can't delete it. I have tried even when there are no other programs open but nothing works. How can I remove this pest?
PrymeBMX16 Found some links. You might try scanning with Ewido if you haven't already. http://www.ewido.net/en/ http://www.doxdesk.com/parasite/InternetOptimizer.html http://www.xpforum.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?p=64908
Hi PrymeBMX16, Welcome to Wilders' Your best bet would be to post a HiJack This log @ CastleCops or @ Gladiators be sure to read the forum rules regarding HJT Log postings. As a quick search for DyFuCa reveals this DoxDesk, Sophos , AntiVirus World Here's Symantec's removal tool for - Adware.NetOptimizer - http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/adware.netoptimizer.html I would look for HJT advice first. Can you give the full name of malware (Dyfuca.A, Dyfuca.B etc.) Try running your Anti-Virus and Anti-Spyware in safe mode of Windows, there's a good chance the files may be deleted that way
