Re: Paint Shop Pro & PhotoFiltre Talk

Are the other two tubes, the wooden pillars behind the man and woman?

As for Brad, I really like the first Dolphin one you did. Great job. I see we are turning the topic towards an ocean theme. Funny because I have to cook seafood tonight - we have guests and I find myself running around the kitchen constantly. I hear that in Australia they have the best seafood, I would love to go there being a keen cook and all.

In the meantime, I have no time for making graphics for the changing topics on this forum - I am just too busy, but I love coming to see what people are doing with their work, and as a show of friendship I am posting a picture of a piece of work I did for an earlier University project - nothing special about this one, apart from the people in it (it's myself and my girlfriend). Hello everyone :p.

Thanks for the links to new frames, as well as the tutorial. ;)
Unfortunately the last frame link gives me a 404 error. :(
I should say you're pretty close. :D The bird, the dog, the house & people?
I also like your first picture with the dolphin.
Hello Mishima, glad to know you and your girlfriend. ;) Great project design. I made something too, but same as you too little time to do it all.
Lost some quality in resizing, but I don't want to blow it out of the borders.:p :D

Great job you did with the dolphins !!!
I think the water theme is very inspiring. ;)

Eldar, I corrected the broken link, sorry

Hey Mishimasan, you can post your pic whenever you have the time. ;)
There is no obligation here. We are free. The idea of a theme is
for stimulating our creativity while learning and having
fun. By the way I really like your picture. :)
It is a high quality one, the render and the composition
    are very good. ;)

Now...where are the tubes in my winter scene?

    1. The snowman ...of course! :D
    2. The dog.
    3. The bird in the tree.

I have found this great link to[ PSP Tips & Tricks - Version 9!].

This is what the author had to say

This list contains little tips and tricks I've learned from tutorial writers, and forums, and classes, and books, and just about anything and everything across the world. I add to this list when I discover a new trick, or remember a trick that has really helped me be more productive using PSP. All adds will be at the bottom of the list.

Hey `mishimasan`, I haven't done many with Photoshop,
just a few ....but I'd like to show them to you.
They are not related to the water theme, for I have not
made any "water pictures" with Photoshop yet....
Also if you know links or tutorials on Photoshop for beginners,
I'll be interested to see them. :)

Here's one I made a couple of weeks ago
    when trying a tutorial.
    From that image....

    I made this image.
I took the pen, traced the a line around the player shape,
I opened a new layer and stuck the guy shape or selection in it.....
and then I applied a "radial blur" of 14 around him. ;)

That looks really good! There are not many photoshop tutorials that I know of, I just generally teach myself, and I have a book called the "Photoshop CS Bible" by Deke McClelland.

It's a really great book and covers all of the basics to all of the advanced techniques, try www.amazon.com.

Here's an image I got from the net for the new Batman Begins movie.

Here's me jazzing it up a little, carrying on the original theme of the movie.

p.s. if anyone wants to know exactly what I did, just ask.

Re: Paint Shop Pro & PhotoFiltre Talk

It is very simple Uguel. In Photoshop, there is something called a layer opacity (transparency). For this to be done, we can apply a layer/many layers that contain/s everything that was not contained on the original image (the clouds etc.) and we can select overlay properties (the way the layer lies ontop of the image) and also the opacity strength (transparency strength). I think I used around about 67% opacity for the layer above.

When you are making a layer that has some difference over the background, and you want to make it transparent - make sure that all the layers you have added are merged together. To do this, just flatten the image:

There is a funny story about that sailing boat....
it is all made by me with Pixia and Dan (Perez) made the clouds
when he was trying himself at drawing! :)
So it is a community drawing! ;)

Okay, another one that I made with Adobe photoshop.
thanks Mishiman, I tried your method and it worked well. :)

Hey Guys, I DL'd and installed the Resource Pack, but it simply added a folder in the Jasc program files. I couldn't find any difference in PSP after I did this. So I went in and pasted frames to frames, tubes to tubes and so on. Did you guys have to do that?

Very nice Uguel - I like the way that the light coming from behind the cloud breaks through her left eye. Is that you in the picture?
