    It is a free, small and useful program for Windows 2000,XP and 2003 operating systems.

    What is ProcX?
    ProcX displays all running processes and modules on your systems. It is a necessity to monitor running processes on your system to determine if anything malicious may be running. ProcX allows you to perform various functions on these running processes and DLLs. ProcX is especially useful for system administrators who disinfect computers.

    Features
    * Display running processes and modules and view the resource usage
    * Delete process or module even when in use
    * Shows the processes accessing the network
    * Shows network accesses on request
    * Shows when a program tries to use a system process name
    * Displays loaded DLLs per process
    * Allow you to terminate a process in various ways (normal, higher, brutal)
    * Allow you to terminate, delete and/or rename a process
    * Allow you to set a process or a DLL to be deleted at next reboot
    * Compute MD5 checksum fingerprint of any process and copy it into the clipboard
    * Search a process name on Google
    * View properties of a process
    * Suspend/Resume/Terminate a process
    * Memory dump of a process

    Many thanks to GKweb (who runs http://www.firewallleaktester.com) for designing and coding ProcX for Ghost Security.

    Hi,

    it's not just "another process viewer", when it exists such free tools like Process Explorer it would be pointless.
    It is aimed to fight malwares when you disinfect a computer, especially the ones which automatically restart when you terminate them, and the ones which spoof them by taking the name of a system process (e.g : svchost).
    But of course you can use it like a simple process viewer :)

    @Dog
    Thanks ;)

    Regards,
    gkweb.

    thanx guys, kinda looks familiar cause this is apt together with "process explorer with security in mind"

    7% cpu usage is not a little on my prescott but it is not being used for constantly monitoring my processes so this is a welcome keeper!!

    Ditto those same words.

    Side question to whom it may concern. When looking at the md5....Is the word Process Viewver with a v correct ?

    It's probably quite possible, MoMo takes a whole new meaning in French too. :p

    Thanks. Using it to replace taskmanager, is it possible to control/alter priority - or can that be included in future release?

    oops :rolleyes:

    Instead of "Process Viewver" I should simply put ProcX, I will correct this ;)
    What Jason is talking about is that what now you see as "MB" (MegaByte) was before written "Mo" which is the french version...

    @lynchknot
    For now it's not possible, but I will add it to the whish list, thanks for suggesting it.

    There is no french version, it was just me while programming who by mistake inserted french words, it was not on purpose.
    I do not think I'll do other versions than the english one, I program in my spare time which is already short enough :)

    Must have been a time out issue while trying to call an API may be.
    BTW we can see from where I have taken this part of ProcX another thing to correct :)

    "Sorting" is not done indeed.
    You can only drag&drop the columns headers for now.

    Looks interesting. I might play around with this toy a bit. I might have a use for it one day.
