    Hello,

With NOD32 version 1.849, a manual scan failed with no error when it scan the file VMX86_01.CAB witch is a part of MS OFFICE XP PRO 2002 french version.

NOD32 process is killed without error message.

If I extract all files in VMX86_01 folder, they are normally scanned and no error or virus are founded.

By this way, automatic complete system scan is impossible.

    What can I do ?

    Thanks

    Niko

i have fonund the same thing with a cab file alike. I sent it to eset support before a week. But it is still the same.
Hope you can send the problematic file to their support, too.

Hi guys, the problem was not on the side of NOD32, but has already been ironed out - please update your NOD32 to v. 1.850.

Correction: the relevant module hasn't been updated yet. I didn't realize I had already been using a module which has the bug fixed. However, I assume it's only a question of a couple of hours until it's released.

I've updated to 1.850 but the trouble persists. Now the cab file is different (MDAC_IE5.CAB) in the same directory. If i manually ask on demand scan for this file, ther scan is ok but if I ask Nod32 to scan entire disk, it'll stop on this file every time.

It shouldn't be too long, as Marcos said...
    Cheers :D

  7. Yes, he said a matter of hours. That was two days ago! This is exactly what one of my issues is and still no fix for it.

This was actually fixed two days ago - please post the Information from your Control Center here so that I can check if you have the appropriate module installed.

  9. I downloaded this lastnight so I would certainly f'ing hope that I would have the correct modules.

Apparently you have to be registered to post a screen shot, so I'll just say that all 3 base modules; Base, Internet Support, and Standard Component ALL have version 2.12.1

  10. Advanced heuristics module - 1.009
    Advanced heuristics build - 1058
    Internet filter version - 1.002
    Internet filter build - 1013
Active support module version - 1.019
Active support module build version - 1099
