It uses passive heuristics instead of signatures and in-depth heuristics.
It might bug you for thousand times just because some program lacks specific charicaristics.

LOOKS great, so does MultiMon (their system monitor), but $70 each is a bit steep.

It's a very new software and hasn't been tested inside out yet. But for what I've heard, it's a software which its main purpose is to stop malicious programs before they even have the chance to harm your computer. It doesn't slow down your system. It will stop not only viruses, but it will stop trojans, worms, backdoors, adware, spyware and other malicious code according to their website. It also says that it doesn't need constant updates like all the other antivirus softwares. It's a new way to fight malware. But I haven't tested it yet so I don't know how it works. Should you have any more questions ? Please refer to their website @ http://www.resplendence.com/antivirus

I think this is the future. Security applications will detect malware by behavior, and block it, before it can execute. There will be false positives, sure, but i think we will have to get used to that. Some malware is so bad, and so difficult to clean, so i think this is the way to do it. I dont now this one, but i think i will try it.

At this point, I think PrevX is a better product in this category (and it's free).

Maybe, i like Prevx too, but my point is, that you should not rely on signatures, since malware changes them every day, and goes undetected. I dont think deep heuristics is enough protection today.

how should a scanner detect bad behaviour of a program before it's being run without having heuristics?

I'm sure about principal being able to run alongside another AV (any), as of prevx I don't know.

I agree. We can't rely on signatures nor heuristics anymore because every single day there will be new malicious code and new ways to exploit the OS. So this will be the best way to go in the future. Maybe this program will be buggy, but I'm sure the people who developed this program are not the ones to blame, it's a new technology, therefore it needs lots of work before it can actually become perfect.

It may crash your PC... Happened to me twice. When you run a fullscreen application/game and the PAV popup appears in the background, your pc will lock up. There are some other cases where it may cause problems (driver installation etc.)
