I decided to remove Windows Live Messanger from my system (as I have skype also installed and active) so I

    1) Un-installed Windows Live Essentials (as there is no option on Windows 7 to remove a single component)
    2) Re-installed Windows Live Essentials, but only with Windows Live Mail selected

I now have no ESET 6 Windows Live Mail integration, even de-selecting/reselecting in Advanced Setup does not seem to re-enable this

The integration all worked before I removed Windows Live essentials. so I suspect a DLL/Registry key has been lost, and ESET need to make sure that when you disable/re-enable integration these are put back.

I have ESET Smart Security 6.0.115.0, and Windows Live Essentials 2012

    Actions taken so far:

    1) Used "REPAIR" option of uninstaller (via control panel) ... this left PC with no functional A/V, Firewall and not in a well state
    2) Used ESET Uninstaller in safe mode to remove Smart Security
    3) Reinstalled V6 beta

Integration with Windows Live Mail is still missing

    I have even
    a) Removed V6 using control panel and Uninstal tool
    b) Removed Windows Live Essentials
    c) Run registry cleaners to make sure registry is clear and free of errors
    d) Reinstalled Windows Live Mail
    e) Reinstalled Smart Security V6 beta
    f) Run registry cleaners to check registry is OK

even after this, the integration seems missing

Perhaps the code detects Windows Messanger in some way and thus is not active because I no longer have it installed

Was the previous version of Windows Live Mail the 2011 build? I know that ESS doesn't have support for WLM 2012 in the v5.2.* builds.

I have had WLM 2012 and V6 working here quite well, with the ESET context showing up when you right-click on an email

However since removing WL Messenger, it has ceased to work

ESET better fix it, given Microsoft is going to disable WL Messenger in March 2013

Ok, I've restored the PC from an old Backup

the problem with missing context affects only Windows Live Essentials 2012

    WLE 2011 works fine

WLE 2012 has been out a while, one hopes ESET will support it soon

Hard to say, MS email clients are completely undocumented and it's often very difficult, if not impossible, to find ways how to "integrate" into them.
