Computer memory leaks a turn off

    wow. this is becoming absurd. okay, time for a tool that uses
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gutmann_method
    to erase memory just before or while shutdown of the computer o_O

    or maybe something like this but then for motherboard ram chips:

    it's funny though, that all eraser tools are based for use on HDD or even SSD nowadays but never seem to focus on actual motherboard ram chips. very interesting indeed.

    It looks like physical access to the pc is required, and if the USB boot option is disabled in the BIOS, and the latter passworded, it should stop this type of security breech. To me this not something a typical home user would have to worry about at all.
