Emsisoft continues to shine...but I was a bit surprised to see MBAM had a couple of fails.

Nice showing by Hitman Pro. :thumb:

It might just be special circumstances, but I have noticed MBAM's protection has been slipping lately and not picking up the occasional Bootkit trojan.

It seems odd that they are now using Zemana's rebadged HitMan Pro rather than their Anti-logger software. The only on-demand only scanner in their tests.

    Wow !

    I'm amazed !
Kaspersky didn't miss a single threat in this round.

    1) DefenceWall for 32 bit :thumb: as always. Impenetrable !

    2) Always thought Symantec by itself was not enough...

MBAM realtime plus Symantec seems the minimum way to go [say, on x64 bit].

    ...just my thoughts...

    - have a good day

Is it time for a new 2012 thread perhaps? :doubt:

MRG are waiting for Zemana to OK the anti-logger for the tests.

Because of the small test-set in flash tests (20 samples) it would be not too much work and more than nice to bring some transparency in:
    - Is it possible to post checksums of the samples?
    - Is it possible to post some information 'bout how they were detected (signature, behaviours etc.)?

I have no faith in this testing org. anymore. Not going open a can of worms but trust me, take little faith in what comes out of this group.

Ha ha. Funny how you remembered something about my software that I almost forgot! Yes, it seems as though the day draws nearer that I pull the plug on VIPRE and turn the key on Kaspersky. And if I shared with you some of the exasperating responses I have gotten out of GFI tech support lately, you'd probably call me crazy for hanging in as long as I have!

Page, with Sandboxie Vipre is perfect. Pay no attention to these results. You have a great setup, but you know that.:D

    Why?
Because they aren't giving NOD32 the "first place"?
Then, neither did AvTest.org. A reputable organization.
We need to take off our blinders and start accepting the fact when a given AV is not performing the way it should. AVs have ups and downs just as any other software out there. Take a look at Symantec, McAfee or MBAM to prove it.
I accepted this and moved onto something different and stopped relying on AV-only approach to protect my PCs at home.

no, because they have a leak, to certain vendors to ensure tests results.

Geez man, go back and do a search, it isnt like it isnt common knowledge.

    Re: MRG Flash Tests 2011

    Hey trjam,
    Thanks for the interest.
I should tell you, my friend, that when you see me say something like, "the day draws nearer that I pull the plug on VIPRE and turn the key on Kaspersky", it actually has very little to do with MRG Flash Test results. Rest assured, I am not basing too much of any decision on a test result here or there. With me, it is usually a culmination of many things... a piling up of annoyances, miscues, ineptitudes and failed policies... any or all of them combined. Sometimes the BS coming from a company suddenly seems too deep where it never even used to exist! Other times a company changes direction on you, and what you once had no longer resembles what you can now expect.

I tend to stay with a software for years rather than days. It usually takes me awhile to pull the trigger on an uninstall. But then when it's gone, rarely does it ever come back. :)

I know, and Kaspersky 2013, especially the AV is a winner in my book.
