Virus in Android Market pretends to be NetQin Security

New worm spreads in Android Market with a new technique: http://www.faravirusi.com/2012/02/1...etqin-mobile-security-v6-0-in-android-market/

 

The "contact developer" email address is nadeer.netqin@gmail.com. But they have the developer's web site as netqin.com. It's bad that the Market does not allow for reporting malicious apps (at least I could not find any place to report) or leave a comment unless the app is installed.

 

Another thing: who determines which "permissions" are needed by the app? The app currently has the needed permissions as:

I've seen some of the apps in the market that need location, personal data info, ability to send text messages, etc. It would seem a malware app would need several permissions to run properly. Does the developer cite the needed permissions? Or does someone in the Android Market run the app and then let the potential users know what permissions are needed? It would seem that if the developer can determine what needed permissions to list (or leave out) that the needed permissions list could be manipulated easily.

Actually looks like every Android App by that vendor has been removed from the Market. That would be even better news to me.
