Thanks for the heads up; can you install new version over previous version or does it require an uninstall first.

It's nice to see that the guys at Agnitum keep making Outpost better and better. Outpost Pro runs light and tight. Protection against dll injection is incredible. A solid performer!

My aging desktop computer has a 1.7Ghz CPU - very slow by today's standards. Therefore, the "zippiness impact" of a given security app is quite noticeable on this box.

Relative to Private FW, Outpost feels a bit heavier to me. Relative to Online Armor, Outpost feels about the same. Relative to Comodo w/D+, Outpost feels lighter.

NOTE 1: I run OP FW with the web checker & anti-spyware disabled. All other options are used, including IP Blocker & Proactive.

NOTE 2: In my case, Op gradually became significantly lighter & quieter as it "learned" my computer's set-up & software. This scenario will generally hold true, of course, for most FW+HIPS-combined programs, but (to me) OP seemed "more so" from this standpoint.

OutPost, comes second in my list, since In my opinion it doesn't beat Comodo. BTW, great work guys... If someday comodo becomes a paid product, I will switch to Outpost :thumb: :thumb:
