Error opening

When performing a custom scan with NOD32, I also launch "scan with log in a new window" to look at the progress of the scan.
Of the hundreds and hundreds of entries into this window they all end saying either "error opening" or "internal scanning not performed."
When the scanning is finished, it says it scanned some 215,000 objects, none infected, none cleaned.
Just what does that "error opening" "internal scanning not performed" mean?
