    Hi,

A couple of months ago we were having problem with ESET Nod32 Antivirus. About 1 percent of the computers in our organisation (with all the same image) started losing their internet. (http(s) traffic only). Disabling the HTTP-scanner solved this problem. After some time when going to 4.2.64 the problem was solved. However since this morning it's back again.

I've checked the protocol filtering solution (http://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SOLN2132) however since only surfing in browser isn't working this is no solution.

What other options do we have in order to fix this isue?

OS is WinXP 32-bit. with Eset Nod32 antivirus 4.2.64.

I'd suggest contacting customer care and providing them with an ESI log. Maybe they'll find an application known to interfere somehow with the http scanner.

This is the same problem I'm currently struggling with.
    See: https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=286832
This is the first real problem I've had with NOD32 AV in seven years.
    Windows XP PRO/SP3, NOD32 4.2.67.10.
HTTP Web browsers checked: Firefox, I.E.
Protocol filtering : Ports and applications marked as browsers or email clients.

I currently disabled file scanning after signature update to see if this helps.

Exlcude your default Browsers from HTTP scanning, this has worked for me. This is not a default setting, proceed a your own risk and peril, however, I have been running this configuration for quite some time without any visible negative effect.

Again ! this is not a default setting.
