So I wonder if this will be a permanent option or if they will remove if after "Talk Like a Pirate Day".

Personally I hope it's permanent, it's funny and ain't completely meaningless since it links to the name of the product.

Avast has officially been added to my list of AV's to never use. This is a rather pointless language option and to be honest I wonder if the coder is 12. They cant take their language options seriously so I wouldnt trust them with my security either.

You pointed it out...it is a optional language. You do not have to use it. And although it is your choice of course, it is a bit of a weird thing to say that because of this fun action by Avast that you no longer trust them and as such will no longer use Avast. It is a very good program.
