Shows free clean up of adware but NO mention of free MBR RK's clean up ?

If you included the free MBR RK's clean up info as well in those screenies, i believe it would be an extra good reason for attracting custom etc

 

We do still clean up the MBR rootkit for free but many other infections are now including the MBR rootkit within themselves so we won't fully clean it if it reinfects the PC upon cleanup in free mode.

Wouldn't expect you to keep on cleaning for free although it doesn't say it's only a one time for free deal Does the same go for Adware ?

We will keep cleaning it, but issues arise when an infection does continually get re-created by another infection. Prevx will clean up Adware directly or MBR rootkits directly but if, for instance, a "High Risk Cloaked Malware" infection was to recreate the adware infection, we would only clean the adware components and not the cloaked malware components.

 

why not just remove it entirely? because unless it is on a system file it wouldn't be needed anyway. partial cleaning isn't cleaning as infection is still there.

 

He uses the Free Facebook version of the Full SafeOnline http://www.prevx.com/safebook.asp which will protect your Online Transactions even if you are infected and notify you if you are infected and then you can use other tools to clean it up the infection or purchase Prevx Full and let it clean it up for you!

Quick question about the free version it say's it will remove Adware but will it block adware from being installed?

 

On a clean machine I would have to say Yes but if it's some other malware that's drops Adware it will stop the Adware but not the malware but Joe will confirm!

Ok, because if it can block adware I may use Prevx on a few machines as a adware blocker + browser protection. Prevx seems like it would make a great addition for that, plus if Prevx detects any viruses I could submit it to a few AV vendors and see if it really is malware to help AV vendors detect more malware

This is correct We select other specific infections to block for free as well but the general rule of thumb is that malware protection comes in the paid version unless absolutely necessary (i.e. if a worm is spreading across millions of users in a mass infection scenario, we can stop them all immediately even if you are just using the free version).

 

Now I see a reason to be using Prevx free, thanks for the info
