I am using Prevx SO ('Facebook' version).

My current installed version is 3.0.5.143.

I see the current release version is 3.0.5.161.

I have tried updating from within the application but it tells me it is up to date.

I have also tried downloading from http://www.prevx.com/safebook.asp [http://info.prevx.com/download.asp?GRAB=PREVXFACEBOOK], but this still gives out version 3.0.5.143.

    I presume this isn't right?

    Jim

    System info:
WinXP SP3, ESET Smart Security v4.2.40

Same for me here. However if you just install the latest 'normal' version over the top you'll retain the Facebook SOL functionality. You will lose the better looking FB GUI though.

This actually is correct - we haven't released the newer versions for update over the Facebook version yet. I suspect we'll be doing this with the next update and will let everyone know as soon as it is pushed out.

    Thanks andyman35 for the advice

    - and PrevxHelp for the update - but, is there any reason why the 'Facebook version' is not being kept in sync?

I think you can keep the GUI by downloading the normal SOL and install on top of your facebook version:

    Why wouldn't we ?

    Why ?

If we allow Prevx/PSO to auto update and/or manually via GUI to the new version, it sounds as if we don't have a choice to retain our current look etc. Is this correct ? If so it would be nicer to be allerted to this BEFORE updating, and let us know the other available options, as above, if true !

    TIA

It would be best to keep your current version till the new version is released unless you are are having problems with .143!

You can install the newest SafeOnline version from: http://info.prevx.com/downloadsafeonline.asp or the newest Prevx 3.0 version from: http://info.prevx.com/downloadcsi.asp

We will be releasing a new version to all download locations soon which will upgrade Facebook users as well as direct SafeOnline users and users of our banking programs but you can upgrade manually without a problem if you wish :)
