Is anyone using Fortinet Personal Firewall? It is not a standalone product but comes bundled with the free standard version of Fortinet End-point Security. Unchecking everything except the firewall leaves only the firewall and backup feature in the security suite.
In my opinion it will be a good choice for those who are searching for a good firewall without HIPS. Please don't rate it according to Matousec review.

I am testing this now in a VM with Spyware Terminator which has a inbuilt HIPS. It is quite good there. I want to hear from you also.

I thought so also, but I removed it because the I/O or CPU was a little heavy. Could you post I/O (reads) and total CPU time after some hiurs surfing?

    Thx

Thanks Kees1058, thereby it will be my choice for a free nonHIPS firewall. :D

I don't like the Windows7 firewall control because of it's way of giving alerts. Also it is the stripped down version like the free versions of SPF or LSF with due respect to all.:p
