Which did you install first? VIPRE or MBAM?

Sportscub I created a Twitter account just for this and I got the license.

I also have MBAM and VIPRE with no issues. I have only really encountered a couple issues with it and its not GUI or bug related. Its more of a security related question on my end.

Results on this tend to differ from system to system. As you've seen from other posts here, most people don't have any trouble with this. On some systems I've seen complaints of slowdowns but this can be expected when running multiple real-time protections which is why we don't usually suggest this.

I received a 1yr subscription to Vipre Antivirus Premium through the Twitter giveaway. I still have 8 months left on my current av's subscription. Does anyone know when the clock starts ticking on the Vipre sub.? I'm thinking whenever it gets activated. Just want to make sure. Maybe NickHSunbelt can chime in on this.

    Thanks, BenMar

i unistalled KIS 2010 then install VIPRE AV and noticed my system slow down appreciably compared to before. So i removed VIPRE & reinstall KIS 2010 and system running well again. Not saying VIPRE is bad, just my experience.

I'm planning on installing my copy of Viper Premium this evening that I received through the Twitter giveaway.

I'm hoping that it'll be a bit faster on bootup than my current av but to be honest I'm a bit concerned reading some of these other posts.

If all goes well, i'll be teaming it up in the very near furture with Prevx

I have it running on a test machine with Prevx without any issues. Laptop is a Windows 7 64-bit with 6GB memory. Memory use is much lighter than expected. I haven't messed with advanced firewall settings yet as it is a client's machine and I am out of town this week.

it's a really light av product, and its on-demand and active protection scanners are pretty darned fast/low impact. i've had vipre perform scans (based on a schedule) while i'm playing games on my pc (crysis, etc) and didn't even notice it was doing it til i exited the game.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't start counting down until you actually activate it.
A buddy installed his twitter giveaway a couple days after the fact and it gave him a full year.

I'm still waiting a reply about when the license begins. I was hoping that NickHSunbelt could shed some light on this.

I wanted to install it this past Tues. but didn't have the time. So will hopefully get a chance to do it this coming week. I will report back after the install to let everyone know if I get a full year or less.

The offer was for only the day that they released Viper Premium to the public which was Mar. 2nd.

The license would not start until the activation key is used to activate VIPRE. You can save this for as long as you like.
