Consider every aspect and post your detailed opinion. I use Windows Media Player (it was greatly improved on Win7) and VLC Media Player.
WOW, i CAN'T believe you really posted JetAudio. Nice you have it there, because i use it I find it pretty good and complete Version 8 is out! Now it has more video formats
I doubt it is more complete and resource conservative than VLC Media Player, my option. BTW, I dont use these Media Players for really many things, I use VLC Media Player mainly to play some videos and DVDs, and Windows Media Player to play some mp3 audio and broadcasts.
VLC, GOMPlayer and Winamp for the majority. I only have Media classic because it came with RealAlt. GomPlayer is good, but what I initially got it for, codec downloading, is basically useless. If VLC and GOM won't play it automatically and it isn't a Quicktime/Real file, you can probably forget ever playing it.
I mostly use quintessential player(never heard of this before but really liking it) for music. And GOM player for videos and VLC player just in case the videos and not possible to view on GOM
Media Player Classic x64, no codecs installed. I only pity, that its portable version can not play iso like VLC. I used VLC before, but it can not play some orig DVDs as for WMP, it can not play DTS and almost nothing else.
I'm not saying JetAudio is the most complete But it plays all common formats + a bit more and i find it awesome (Without having to download codec packs etc.) It also have some good conversion tools for audio/video!
windows: I use media monkey for music and use VLC for dvd's I have tryed songbird and like it but wasnt very stable for me and seemed to lack ripping music from cd's so sticking to media monkey for now. Linux/ unix based os's: I use rhythmbox for music and vlc for dvd's.
KMPlayer I did use VLC, but I had a random lag in all movies, clips, what ever. I didnt want to install a large codec pack and use WMP so I went with Kantaris (VLC Basis) and still had the same issues as I did with VLC. After that I found KMPlayer and havent gone back.
WMP, Quick Time and Winamp mainly but also have Real Alternative, FLV Player and Cyberlink DVD. WMP for my movies and clips and Winamp for my music.
I've switched out my software. For videos it's VLC and KMPlayer along with the K-Lite Mega pack. Still using Winamp for music.
I don't know if it's the 'best', but the other day I took windows media player off- then put Foobar 2000 on, just to try it out, I couldn't believe the difference! Plus it plays all formats. Linux- Rhythmbox, xmms
KMPlayer, VLC, Kantaris (based on VLC), WMPC, and a few others play almost all formats so if thats what qualifies as a best then there is more than 1 best.
hey guys how about Jet Audio resources use? i dont care about that cause i have a pretty powerful machine but i want to know if they improved that part.
