Good Evening ! I'm currently using Outpost Free Version. But when trying to use with Windows 7 a notification informs me it isn't compatible only the Pro Version. I used to use Sunbelt Personal Firewall Version 4,but it too isn't compatible. I chatted with a rep at Sunbelt who informed me that they would be releasing the new compatible build sometime in the new year, but my subscription expires in November, so even if I wanted to upgrade I can't. I've enjoyed using Outpost with Vista and if the Free Version were compatible I wouldn't hesitate in continuing using it. Strangely enough at the moment it seems to be connected, but unlike Vista I can't check in Windows 7 because their doesn't seem to be any indicator that shows me if another firewall is connected. If I'm missing something maybe someone can point me in the right direction in where in Windows 7 ; I might find the status of Outpost. And if anyone might recommend a compatible firewall ! I don't need a security suite attached or anti-virus anti-malware protection attached. Just an effective product, and if it's free all the better. Sincerely...Securon

I am using Outpost Free on Windows 7 RC (build 7100) with no problems. Perhaps you should try:

    Right click>Properties>compatibility mode>Vista SP1>Run as Admin>OK

then double click the .exe file as usual

Already mentioned and a few more.

    Comodo Firewall (CIS)
    FortKnox Personal Firewall
    Jetico Personal Firewall
    Look 'n' Stop Firewall (2.07)
    Malware Defender (32-bit only)
    Outpost Firewall Pro (beta support)
    PC Tools Firewall Plus
    Privatefirewall
    Rising Personal Firewall 2010
    ZoneAlarm Pro Firewall 2010

There are a few other experimental solutions, like:
Online Armor (Public Beta 4.0.0.6, 32-bit only)
Outpost Firewall Free (installed in compatibility mode)
    etc.

    Cheers
