    Dear Marcos,
can you please provide me this fix?
I'd be more than glad to try it. I wanna see if I still get the issue particularly when I use Ensign Windows.
    Cheers,
    Deviad

Does this "workaround" has any performance issues?

The release of a newer build containing the fix is scheduled for the next week. An announcement will also be posted here.

Thankyou Marcos. Your work is appreciated! :)

Just a question about the build. Will we have to downloader the installer.exe or will the update be applied normally through the update menu in the program?

In that case, how do we go about doing that?

Do we have to uninstall the version we already have or just click 'Run' straight away?

Since I am also having the same issue, I am really looking forward to this build
Eset is great! It's amazing how quickly they fix issues that may come up.

Just a quick question along the lines of what "the1" asked. Once the new build gets released, where do we get it from? Do we sign on to our account on Eset? And also, how often are builds released?

    Thanks,

    fredkh

EDIT: I just noticed that this is in the Antivirus forum but I have the Smart Security version. Will a build be also released for ESS?

You can probably download from here: http://www.eset.com/download/home
Then login with the username and password you received when you bought ESS. Cannot see why they should release a new build and distribute in another way then the usual as long as it should be available for the public. I'm sure they will fix ESS as well and not only nod32. It would not make any sense to not fix ESS.

I don't think there is any fixed timeframe for new builds (like once a month and so on). If no serious bugs are reported and fixed there might take more time for a new build, but if a serious bug is reported a new build will probably be released much faster. At least i never read that Eset release new builds on a fixed timeframe and based on my experience from the past they release new builds when they find it necessary. I'm sure they have some kind of schedule for new releases with new features, but i don't think it's public....at least i never seen any.

I'm sure someone from Eset can fill in with more information, but pretty sure what i just said is correct.

    Damn!
I just spent 9 hours trying to work out what was wrong.
At first I thought I had a RAID problem because I couldn't save to my RAID volume but it worked for other drives. So I disabled RAID and rebulit the volume.
Then it was still happening intermittently with Firefox and Chrome so I couldn't work out what was wrong.
I ran a virus scan which said I had a trojan so I cleaned the file and then went on to change all the passwords to all my online accounts.
After cleaning the virus and restarting I was having problems. More digging and I found that the detected trojan was a false positive.
I never even consider the problem could be due to Eset.
9 hours later and I stumbled on this thread!

Edit: I just read the post of the release information. All you have to do is install over your current one.

    Thankyou Marcos.

I have a Windows 7 64bit PC using nod32 and I only see the error if I save a file to My Documents. I save the download again and it asks if I want to over write the file and then it works. When you test it and don't get the error, are you saving the files to a location in your user profile or someplace else on the c: drive?
