After ditching the use of cookies on our request, we believe it's time to attend you to this free service:

    www.auditmypc.com

"Audit your firewall with a free online security scan.

Test for security vulnerabilities that may leave a computer open to hackers and viruses. Visit the research center to find information on an email, web site or IP address. Works with any operating system."

    regards.

    Paul,

It would probably be a lot more interesting if it were probing my IP address rather than that of my ISP's web proxy server.

Incidentally, I've got the same problem with Zhen-Xjell's probing.

That can be an issue indeed - agreed Joseph. For the same reason Gibson once created his "IPAgent" (or a sortalike name) for his ShieldsUp service and the one after that (name forgotten..). Could well be, they are working on that one in the meanwhile.

    regards.

I've tried their 'Basic' port scanning three times now, and grown a beard waiting. Doesn't seem to be anything special.

Nothing that I didn't already know...

    Basic scan:
Your system appears secure for this type of scan!

You may want to review the security overview document for general information on security risks.

Keep in mind that this was a high speed cursory audit. Depending on your network configuration, you may want to perform this audit again to help remove false readings.

No problem here - very fast and I scanned all 65,000 ports.
