Anonymous Iran was up this morning, but now appears to be offline: I'm currently getting a "Bad Gateway" error.

 

Give some to the prisoners of Iraq war also.

 

1. That would be a bit hard to do since A: Most still are prisoners. B: Any that aren't still prisoners likely have a LOT of eyes upon them, and this kind of service would very likely invite attention said ex prisoners would likely NOT appreciate.

2. This invitation is more about helping completely innocent civilians have a voice their government won't let them have. We're talking people that can't even give an opinion without risk of jail or even life. This invitation allows the Iranian people to reach out to the rest of us, to speak so that we may hear and inform others of what they are going through.

I do wonder though about the risk of being found using it (the citizens that is). It's certainly something Steve can do nothing about, he can only reach out to them and offer the opportunity. However, with the governments recent action blocking access to different websites, shutting off access period to the net, and everything else they do, I just wonder if they can know if a citizen is using a program like this to get around restrictions, and, the repurcussions of such.

I have no slight clue how ISPs act there and what they are required/not required to do, so maybe my concerns are unecessary.
