Received an email attachment, a .mso ( Microsoft Office) file, but was unable
to view it. Can either Open Office versions 2.4 and 3.0 actually handle
these .mso files or is some sort of converter required ?
    Maybe the odf-converter-integrator mentioned here:-

    Regards.

I think someone is pulling your leg. I'd never heard of a .mso file so I googled it and quess what. Nobody else seems to have heard of it either.

I don't remember having been sent one of them before, but I also googled
and there are many references to .mso file extensions.
".mso is the file extension sent as the e-mail attachments if it has been edited and drafted in Microsoft Word 2000. The attachment is called Oledata.mso by default, which contains information of the attachment to be rendered within the e-mail message.

The Oledata.mso file will appear as a separate attachment on PC if you do not install Microsoft Outlook 2000 or later versions."

Not important as never, (as far as I remember), sent to me before.

Thanks, it seems they can be opened. Unfortunately I see that I have
emptied the file from trash. Will try to obtain it again from sender. :argh:
