I don't recall seeing any banner... perhaps that's what sbie keeps blocking.

Anyhow... sold. 2 years outta last me till XP's EOL. I'm really lovin this download statusbar autoscan technique.

I guess I should mention the technique in here. What it accomplishes is getting Hitman Pro to automatically scan downloads in Firefox. You will need the addon "Download Statusbar" to accomplish this. Here's a link provided by Wilders member Djigi to his blog, describing the (simple) process:

    http://translate.google.com/transla...om/2011/07/hitmanmalwarebytes-automatsko.html

It's like a psuedo real-time AV. If you're certain your box is already clean, all you need to scan is new files. This, IMO, is the ideal measure for people that may be considering going without a real-time AV and using some sandboxing/virtualization regimen in it's place... but are a bit apprehensive about it. Heck, it's a good measure period for anyone that knows their box is already clean. No real-time monitoring chewing on your HD and eating resources, and the malware database is massive, more comprehensive than you'll get from any real-time AV vendor.

And purchase the paid version and you don't have to wait the 10 seconds to close the window either. I'd say this gives people a very good reason to purchase the product. May even want to mention this method on the HMP website?...

Sit back and enjoy 99.9% detection rates, with no footprint :)

Do you mean has it been deleted? No...I chose to ignore the detection.

From the screenshot I can tell the scan was still busy. The file is whitelisted in the backend so I am rather curious why it is listed. If you perform a scan now (and let the scan complete), is it still listed?

I am not in that snapshot at the moment, and it is late here (12:35am)...so I will have to run the scan later today. Sorry, for the delay.

Yeah I also think the big change will be real time protection. Then HitmanPro will be very much compatible with other security apps.:D

However, when I went into and old snapshot which I haven't booted since January, 2012...it shows it updating from v3.5.9.Build 125.

Tried to update to a newer version, but it says I am uptodate.

The 3.5 -> 3.6 upgrade path updates to build 152. If you run build 152 again in 2 hours you'll see it will update to the latest 3.6. Will address this on Monday. Thanks for reporting.

I bought a 2 year license and hoping in the near future HmP will include "Alert" in it.

    Just one question.

    HmP have auto update?

    Thanks.

Shortly, after starting the scan, I got a BSOD.
