    Hi,

I see more and more of these abbreviations used by you guys here.
What do they stand for and where are they? A download link or further documentation would be welcome too.
    Regards,

    -Demonon.

Kafu.exe is a batch file that closes the few start up entries that LUA(Limited-Least User Account) leaves open for writing.

Ok thanks all, I now know what most of them mean.
My next question is whether AR and DFT can be achieved in Windows Vista Home Premium SP1, or do they solely belong to SRP?

Yes I think I will read more about the thread you just mentioned. I already found it, but I didn't read it thoroughly.
Good you like my sig, I like it too allot.

    Ah thanks for your reply.
Currently I use SuRun and SRP on my Vista HP SP1. What sort of policy rules can I use more?

Also i had a query to as if kafu.exe would work for vista...and if not,how could i effectively change permissions so i do not break anything,in order to prevent usermode HKCU startup writes.

What kafu does can also be done with command line tools directly from MS. I use regini and calcs to lock them down. Easy enough to use and plenty of documentation available. I am sure there is a counterpart in vista, but I have not tried that yet.

Designated File Types can be directly configures from from the registry by modifying the value ExecutableTypes
    (see https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=232857 )

The same applies to ARadded rules, except I am not familiar with GUID. The best in this case is to first configure these rules through parental control as explained by bktII there:
https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=234089. Once you have setup your rules, you can export the specific ones you need from registry and add them to you SRP setup.
