Does anyone else experience false positives when using Super Anti-spyware? This software has so far detected some files since installation on my PC, that I know for sure are not infected. One of them was a legitimate program file and SAS told me it was a Trojan. I know Super Anti-spyware has done good Jobs of clearing infected PC's, but I really think the software company needs to sort out the false positives. I know it happens with all security software, but SAS seems particularly bad when it comes to this IMO.

No FP`s here. Have you submitted them?

I've never had a single f/p with SAS. If they have such, they are quickly fixed. Mind you I do use the free version so it's possible I miss some f/p's because I don't run SAS constantly and they are fixed when I update.

I've never had any here. Just open a support ticket on them. They are a good bunch and very prompt. They will look after you.

Then they will probably be fixed within the next update or two. Otherwise I would start questioning the source\type\reason for the detected file(s).

My judgment tells me the files are harmless, but to get a second option I did scan the files with Kaspersky, Mcafee, A2 squared, Spyware Doctor and Lavasoft Adaware 2008, they didn't detect these as harmful.

Just uploaded to Virus Total, no virus Engine detects them as harmful...looks like a SAS false positive for sure.

I had one with the recent free ZoneAlarm offer, SAS realtime protection kept blocking my download of ZoneAlarm and i reported it and they confirmed it was a FP. Byway of scanning there's been none.
