Hello, after installation everything works fine until I run ESI scan. It started fine, but when I double click on the icon, ESI fell down and debugging windows showed. Interesting is that scanning continued. After it I opend Advanced setup tree and suddenly GUI fell down, too. Then I can't work with it, white right side of main window stayed, no response after clicking on links, then whole system freezed. When I restarted egui.exe, computer started to work fine again. It's true that PC wasn't restarted, but it isn't necessary for version v3 and higher. It's a pity that these things occured only once.

And question: Self-defense is only improved or something new?

I don't see such problems with the GUI .

Re. Self-defence - all ESET files cannot be deleted . The HKEY_Local machine key can't be deleted , too . The process ekrn.exe can't be killed from Task Manager .

The HKey_Local user key can be deleted , however.

It will be similar like Antistealth - upgradability without "big" new version. Very good job. I am going to test it... :thumb: Then I'll write short report.

    Hello,

Which version of Microsoft Windows are you running, and is there any other security software installed on the computer?

    Regards,

Windows XP Service Pack 3 Czech, before ESS v4 beta there had been ESS v3, which I uninstalled.

Problem with ESI occures, when I run ESI scan (Add... => name => Add), double click on the line, "Continue running? Yes" and after some time window below is showed. But scanning process continues in work.

OS: Windows XP Service Pack 3 Czech
    ESS: 4.0.68.0 English

With my virtual Windows XP Service Pack 2 English I haven't got the problem.

Generally speaking , applications shouldn't have problems with the OS's language
