    Hi All ,

Sorry to bother you folks but I have a bit of a problem ,
I reformated my computer yesterday and went about reinstalling all my programs, I use TDS , Worm Guard and Port Explorer . I had no problems with TDS or WG but I had forgotten that in order to download the newest full version of PE I have to sign in at the members area . Here is where the problem comes in , I have all keyfiles and passwords on a floppy but I made the mistake of changing the password for PE and of course I forgot the @#$%& thing ( stupid I know )
anyway I have alse changed my ISP and therefore my E-Mail addy has changed . I e-mailed diamond cs and explained about the change in addys so I would continue to get the DiamondCS Newsletter and I thought my sign in addy for PE would be changed also , I was wrong and now I can't find out my new but forgotten password.
If there is any way we can work around this I would be extreeeeeemly grateful .

    Thanking you in advance :) :) :)
    Frank

    Hi Grasshopper
No work around I'm afraid, you will need to await DCS replys to your email.

If you did not do so re-email & make sure you include your old email address so that they can retrieve your old password etc. then thay will be able to switch your account to your new email account and send you your PW: support@diamondcs.com.au

    Few options:
    email support@diamondcs.com.au
the story has been explained i guess and you might ask to replace whatever password there was with the original from the registration.
    OR:
wait till the current email addy was changed there too and try to get the password sent to your new email address.
And keep that password reminder email somewhere safe.
Why change it in the first place?
Or only to one you can really really remember.
    OR:
cry while hoping for another solution.
    Guess option 1 is best.

When you get it back and if you really like to change it, have a reminder sent to your email to make sure it is really really what you intended not to forget for ever!

    Good luck!
This is the best i can do for you from here........

You're typing faster and you're several kilometers closer to the server.

You know you should note your easy to remember passwords down on a postfix and paste it on the monitor, don't you?

Don't forget a mirror then to be able to read them.
Keep the original from the reguistration email then you have it always at hand (if you copy it again to the diskette/cd-rom)
In the DCS free tools is one to enable you to read behind the password asterixes which might be handy.
