While there were several issues I had with it, my primary dislike was with its heavy footprint, over 26MB of memory utilization in the last version.

Instead of the anticipated final, RC5 is out. Looks like this didn't stay in Beta long enough! :doubt:

Btw, you guys who don't like Comodo's mem usage, which FW do you like from that perspective?

Jetico, Ghostwall, Kerio 2.1.5. I´ve read good things about OA FW mem usage too.

Do any of them work with Windows Ent Server 2003?

Before Comodo, I used L'n'S, which is very light, but it was way too 'nervous' (excessive alerts) to suit me!

I´m not sure but Ghostwall says that it supports Windows 2003.

Cheater 87 - WOW. What's with that. I clicked the Updater, and it basically installed itself. Maybe if you reboot and try again.

Cheater87 - A thought just occured to me. I did my update only an hour after I checked and it said no update available 12:40PM. I would guess that by now, 3:50PM every one is trying to do the update at the same time and you can't access. I would wait until dinner time and try again.

Good idea. But if it wasn't able to complete the install and it stopped at 12% will it mess up my computer since it was installing then had to stop?

Cheater87 - I really doubt it. I think the server got overloaded with calls for the update and fainted. I think if you wait until it calms down like mid-night it"ll sail through. (I hope) Check the Comodo forum and see if anybody submitted a post complaining.

I heard about turning off the virus and anti spyware scanner's shields while updating and that still didn't help. Does it help?
