    Hi,

    after several bluescreens an manually installation of several Acronis-Drivers, i managed the installation of ATI 10.0 (last edition).
    Fine, I tought, let's do some testing. So I started ATI via Startmenue, and -nothing happend-.
    The App won' t run, XP's (SP2) eventlog shows nothing etc...
    I found out, that (if you install the full version) there are two version of acronis installed. One which is associated with the startmenue (this is the "no-start"-version) and a second one located at "BartPE".
    The versions differ in filesize (but have the same build-versiono_O), but the BartPE-Version runs...
    What is the difference between the versions?
    Is the startmenue-entry wrong (done by the installation).

    Thanks,
    Chris

    Hello Chris4You,

    Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

    We are sorry for the delayed response.

    Probably Acronis True Image 10.0 Home was not installed correctly for some reasons. Could you please do the following in order to install the program correctly?

    1) Use the procedure described in this previous post to manually uninstall Acronis True Image 10.0 Home.

    2) Download the installation file of Acronis True Image 10.0 Home. To get access to updates you should first register your software.

    3) Use the procedure described below in order to make sure that you downloaded the installation file flawlessly

    - Download the eXpress CheckSum Calculator and unpack the archive;

    - Run the application;

    - Browse for the file and click Start to calculate the checksums;

    - Compare a certain checksum (e.g. MD5) with that of the original to make sure the files are identical.

    The MD5 value for the build 4871 of English version of Acronis True Image 10.0 Home must be [5D3D4EE6B8B53BB0637AF4FB3A2F8F07 ]. If the MD5 value is not [5D3D4EE6B8B53BB0637AF4FB3A2F8F07 ] then please re-download your Acronis product.

    4) If the MD5 value is correct install the program and check its functionality.

    BartPE is a plugin version of Acronis True Image 10.0 Home designed to run from CD. You can learn more about what BartPE is from this article.

    You can run Acronis True Image 10.0 Home in Windows by selecting Start -> Programs -> Acronis -> Acronis True Image Home -> Acronis True Image 10.0 Home or clicking on the appropriate shortcut on the desktop.

    If the issue persists, please create Windows System Information as it is described in Acronis Help Post. Then submit a request for technical support. Attach all the collected files and information to your request along with the step-by-step description of the actions taken before the problem appears and the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with a solution.

    Thank you.
