Hi, do you ever defrag your mp3 player?
i was wondering because i do defrag my sony mp3 player and it does make it faster.
i read about defragging mp3 players at the atrac life forum.
    my sony nw-a3000 uses fat32.
    1. do you defrag you mp3 player?
    2. what file system does your mp3 player use?
this applys to ipod video and creative vision M with video as well.
I wondered this because videos and music on a pc can be accessed alot slower if fragmented.
its a shame i cant add the poll to this thread since i must of unticked the poll box by mistake.
    thanks in advance

well I defrag my mp3 player
it happens to be in a 4U attached to a rackmount however
and looks suspiciously like a computer :p

    I however use NTFS

I can see the Ipod spoof now as I dance my way down the street dragging a 30U rackmount by the headphones

    I do occasionally -

another option is to remove files format and then copy the empty dirs using xcopy and then the files again using xcopy.

Results is a faster boot on my iriver because all the dirs are together easy and quick to scan
