With the new release of F-PROT version 6 on Monday, thought I would share with you all about my thoughts about this interesting AV coming on the market. Inspector Closeau has been a great new addition to the Frisk company, makers of F-PROT, and has been quite active in developing their heuristic AV engine. Results from AV-Comparatives.org have shown the improvements, particularly the heuristic side with the borne of Maximus.

    About Maximus technology: http://www.av-experts.org/weblog/?p=33

Regulars know that IC gives his say here and also helps us understand the far technological av terms. Not to mention, the aggressive side too :). I am glad that he and other experts like Stefan, Marcos, and vlk and others who I missed make the Wilders forum very interesting. Please continue to have your say and educate us. Merry Christmas to you all!!

    Cheers Inspector Closeau! :thumb:

Will this beta version (6.0.5.0) be the released version anticipated on Monday, the 11th?

well i suspect so, what other versions do they have......

do they have a totally different version locked away, and the beta is there to 'fool you all', i suspect that is the version that will go for release, i dont think they will change much in 1 day.

Question. Does the newer version detect for spyware/adware or just viruses like the previous. Or maybe I am not saying this right.
