I bought a 2 year license some time ago, but I can't recall exactly when. How do I find out when my license expires? I mean, so I can renew beforehand.

well nod32 will notify you a week or two before it expires.

also if u renew beforehand, u may lose that amount of time from the license. im not exactly sure, but its been discussed before if u wish to do a search.

I received no such notification/reminder and had to renew after it had expired.

I did receive a couple of emails at the time of purchase and infact I was aware that my license was going to expire on 1st August 06. However no expiry reminder was received by me. Strange...:doubt:

Mine expires in less than a month from now, I'll be sure to check if I get a notification or not :)

You won't lose any time from your license. See Blackspear's reply here.

Who did you purchase from ? If you got it from a reseller it is very likely you receive at least one email

The reseller is supposed to send you a mail a month before your license expires (usually).
If you purchased your copy directly from ESET, then I have no answer to that one sorry.

I had purchased it directly from Eset...I don't know whether Eset sends any notifications or not...o_O It seems that they don't which is wierd. Actually the software should have some kind of pop ups or notification, warning about the expiry as the expiry dates approaches..

    @WSFuser
It was not in silent mode but in any case I should have received the email.

It does - I believe it starts about 2 weeks in advance. (maybe 3?)

That is a strange case IMO - mine has always worked perfectly. You might contact support if yours is simply running out without notification 2 weeks ahead of time.

mata7 - I'm quite sure you can if that is your desire.

In my case I was reminded by the AV itself 2 weeks before the expiration date.
A little window was reminding me that my AV would soon be expired everytime I rebooted my pc. After I renewed it, I received 2 emails, one that acknowledged my purchase and that had my name and password. Not long after I received another one containing my name, with my license number and the expiration date of my new subscription.

I would think so but I can't say for certain.;)

You will lose time on the renewal, if you buy directly from Eset. See Bandicoot's reply in the same thread (not to mention the replies from us piddling users who have had it happen to us).

Just renew through a local Reseller and you won't lose any time.

    Cheers :D

I wanted to--I gave up after finding there were no resellers who were truly "local" to me (none who wouldn't be a long-distance call in any case). And I got quite aggravated looking at their poorly-designed and information-sparse web sites. So, I renewed directly from Eset again.

    Online by eset.com.
When I'm now trying to renew my license I'm being redirected to my local online reseller, where I need to email them about renewing it. Pretty strange, I think.
