I have already registered, and is now playing with the beta, hehe

I got the same error message when I log out of the beta site, maybe there is a server error.

Wow, had to jump through a lot of hoops to download the beta.

    How does everyone like it?

    I'll try it later today.

    My configuration:

Windows XP SP2 with latest fixes
Kaspersky Antivirus 6.0.0.299 running in background
Outpost Firewall Pro 3.51.748.462 with anti-spyware plug-in turned on
Sunbelt CounterSpy 1.5.82 with active protection enabled

Running 4.0 beta resident shield in the background with no BSOD or crashes so far. The resident shield seems stable for the time being.

The Guard still seems to take up a lot of memory and at the present time I can only see how to disable the guard.exe. So it still loads up into memory even when inactive.

At least in v3.5 you had the option to uninstall the Guard.

    Comparing with CounterSpy and KAV:

    Memory usage:

    Ewido
    guard.exe 21,704K
    Ewido.exe 12,784K

    CounterSpy
    SunThreatEngine.exe 59,336K
    SunProtectionServer.exe 13,532K
    SunServer.exe 9,624K

    KAV 6.0.0.299
    avp.exe 5,900K
    avp.exe 2,664K

Although Ewido.exe used only 12,784K memory, it used and 20-56% of the CPU time, jumping between 20-56% all the time, while CounterSpy and KAV didn't have such big CPU consumption.

Chubb, I presume these are not Virtual Memory figures?
