Can True Image Server Enterprise be used to backup and restore remote computers on the internet also or only over MS Windows Network neighbourhood? Is there a way to make two distant computers see each other in Network Neighbourhood?

I tried using IP's but it doesn't work with connect to remote host.

    Hello Jerry,

Thank you for your interest in Acronis Remote Server Backup Software.

I'm afraid that Acronis True Image 9.1 Enterprise Server for Windows does not allow controlling the backup process on the remote machine over the internet. It has a capability of performing the remote backup over the local network only. However, the new 9.1 version supports saving\restoring images to\from remote machines via the FTP protocol.

We recommend you to download and install the free trial version of Acronis True Image 9.1 Enterprise Server for Windows to see how the software works on your particular hardware\software configuration.

You can find the detailed instructions on how to use Acronis True Image 9.1 Enterprise Server for Windows in the respective User's Guide.

Please visit Acronis online store to purchase the full version of the product.

Please also note that we have a flexible system of discounts and the amount of the discount varies depending on the number of copies you want to purchase.

In case you are planning to purchase many copies, please contact our Sales Team at sales@acronis.com.

If you have any further questions concerning Acronis software, please feel free to submit a request for technical support or post any of them on this forum. We will certainly try to help you in resolving any issues.

    Thank you.
