    Hi,

Anyone can give any comments on how ViGuard (Home and/or Pro) performs?
Is there still a SpySweeper version included?
    TIA

I'm fairly familiar with ViGuard. Are there particular questions you are wanting to ask? It is a very nice program. You should be able to find some posts of mine if you do a search for ViGuard as well. I will not be back on till tomorrow so it might be easier to do the search but after feel free to ask any questions. As far as the SpySweeper version I don't think it is still available. Again have to go to work but feel free to leave questions.

    Thanks,

    Chris

I did try it few months ago, what I remember is that the GUI was not easy to use : you have 3 main windows, depending of the modules you want to show; unfortunately you can't view everything in the same window, and must go from one to another very often :( ... That was the detail I didn't like.

I don't remember the exact use of theses 3 windows, but I've still screenshots somewhere.

But except for this GUI problem, the program is very good - Chris12923 will tell more than I could here ;) .

The reason why I don't use it is that it does offer all features you usually find in several programs (registry protection, process protection (with driver/service monitoring, if I remember), files/scripts protection, etc. Even connections monitoring with the pro version). For now I prefer to use a "classic" AV with dedicated programs for theses purposes - but if you like the comfort to find everything in the same program, ViGuard could be for you :) .

ps : SpySweeper seems still offered with it, when you look at the site.

    Cheers,
    nicM

    Thanks guys,

In the mean time I overlooked Bluezzanetti's link to Kareldjag's review of this program. I am very impressed, sounds a very solid security layer.
Looking further I found out that the prices dropped some (but not in UK??). The french version still has a one year SpySweeper license.
    Thanks again.

    Gerard

You're right, US/UK version doesn't include SpySweeper anymore - but it's now more cheap than the French one ;) .

It's actually an AV, since it can repair infected files.

    Cheers,
    nicM

Note that the UK price is in Sterling! and i.e. the Dutch version is in euro's!

Just to confirm, I did download and install it on my secondary partition. No problems and localization is as it should be. Filename should be something like ViguardPro_xxxxxx_en_trial for the English version ViGuard Pro trial for example.

:doubt: ... that was hard to believe, but with the picture... really strange. I would try to mail them in your case (they've a support forum, but it's in French only).

Ouch -- I was planning to try it on my WinME partition. Please keep us posted as to what you hear from ViGuard support.

Is anyone using latest Viguard version or has tried it lately?

I would like to hear your recent impressions on its effectiveness and resource usage.

    Thanks.

    Roger
