    That's a pretty damning conclusion on all AMD stuff.
    Important pointer to also look specifically at all pre-Haswell chipsets used in notebooks. Most will not support VT-d, even if the processor supports VT-d.

    Hello,

    Another option would be to check with the notebook manufacturer. Usually, notebooks geared at business use like Lenovo's ThinkPad line, Hewlett-Packard's Elitebook line, etc., have VT-d enabled.
