    Hello all,
We've just made a new beta/release candidate release - normally I'd use the beta forum but because the bulk of the users here who have had problems have posted in this forum, it will probably be easiest to keep the messages here.

    The download links are still:

    http://info.prevx.com/download.asp?grab=edgebeta for 32bit
    http://info.prevx.com/download.asp?grab=edgebeta64 for 64bit

After downloading the new version, please reboot your PC and you should now be able to browse properly :)

The changes in this build are quite significant and should solve most of the problems that users have been experiencing:

    - Fixed support of Youtube/flash videos on IE/FF
    - Fixed some issues handling certain UAC settings under Win7 x64
    - Fixed user switching under x64 and into certain standard user accounts on Windows 7
    - Fixed an issue using "Run As" when currently on a secured browser instance
    - Fixed an issue typing into some applications with active secured sessions open
    - Fixed a compatibility issue between the low-level audio interfaces and x64 self protection within Prevx
    - Fixed some issues with partial integrations of Chrome/Opera on x64
    - Improved browser memory protection on x64
    - Improved browser component management on x64

Version 3.0.5.44 has a few additional changes on top of 3.0.5.43:
    - Fixed an issue displaying the proxy configuration dialog at the end of an aborted learning scan
    - Implemented transparent proxy detection and automatic setting application
    - Improved the on-installation user experience when a proxy is installed and Prevx can detect the proxy
    - Fixed compatibility with CA's hooking within the browser

This new version should provide a much more streamlined experience - let me know if any of the previous problems persist!

Thank you for your help and support and I hope you are all having a great 2010!

Joe. Is the scan Abort fix in this one ? Where Prevx will be scanning and you bring it up then once you click X it automatically Aborts.

    Joe and Prevx crew

Well done. Fixed my flash problem and believe me I have tested fully on You Tube and other sites.

Again Prevx provides the best software support without doubt.

Now I have printing problem as advised by 800ster below

Thanks!! Now it seems that I can enable SafeOnline and use Firefox and Opera simultaneously.

Has solved my flash problem, and so far....................(not gonna speak too soon) it appears to be working ok when switching users.

    Cheers,

Flash problems are fixed but the printing problem I had before is now back. When trying to print any webpage I get "Unexpected error" when printing from Firefox and "Unspecified error" from IE. Still there even if I disable protection and SafeOnline but printing is OK again if I either reboot first after disabling SafeOnline only or uninstall the beta (or go back to .40 release).
    Using Win7 x64.

Dl'd twice, once from the site you had posted Joe, and the other one from the regular "safeonline" site. Installed each one separately, rebooted, and still no blue screen. However, program states that safeonline is "ON", have tabs, etc. Dunno, is it supposed to be like this due to RC status? 32 bit.

Could you and 800ster try changing the protection of SafeOnline down from Maximum to High and then reboot your PC? This should allow you to print properly, but let me know if it persists! :)

Re: New test version of Prevx and SafeOnline - v3.0.5.43

The only difference between the SafeOnline download and the normal Prevx download after installation is the blue background - the RCs just have the normal Prevx black background but once we release it officially it will be available both in SafeOnline's GUI and the normal Prevx 3.0 GUI.

That is not implemented yet but will be in the next release (this one was somewhat out-of-band for the x64 fixes :))

Re: New test version of Prevx and SafeOnline - v3.0.5.43

I've downloaded and installed the new RC version without incident. I have SuRun 1.2.0.8 to allow me to use a limited account under XP and run needed programs as a admin. If I go to a https:// site with SafeOnline active, I'm unable to type in my password in SuRun. This is the same issue I had with the 3.0.5.40 version.

No difference but then I have the problem from HTTP websites (as well) which are configured as default as Low in SafeOnline anyway.

Frankly could of been as simple as It was posted and Joe posted we are working on it. Who knows who cares it's fixed now. Lets move on to the next minor problem.

Re: New test version of Prevx and SafeOnline - v3.0.5.43

It's really no big thing and has for sure no priority ...
but maybe the place for the green thing to be
could somehow move a bit to the left or
    even somewhere else entirely? ;)

    What you see is Firefox 3.5.6 on Win7 Ultimate ( 1.024x768 )
with Prevx 3.0.5.43 and FileBox eXtender 2.00.04 (discontinued :'( )
    http://www.hyperionics.com/files/index.asp

What you don't see: it's flickering and therefore annoying,
both programs want to be in front and sadly only one can be!
    :D
