    Hi,

Did an Enterprise Edition + XMON install at a clients two days ago, replaced Symantec.

[EDIT: Only Modules running are AMON, XMON and NOD32 - DMON/EMON/IMON are disabled]

Exclusions added for all the generic items on SBS2003, exchange/sysvol/SQL Databases etc.

They also run various account software that access custom databases on network shares, Rapport, Panache, Iris etc.

All these folders containing the extra databases are also excluded from scanning.

The users have their Desktops / Mydocs redirected to server shares as well, these also are excluded (from this morning)

Ever since NOD was installed they are experiencing applications hanging, included excel, lost of connection to the server etc.

Has anyone got any ideas as to which part of the NOD install could be causing this?

AMON has been running since the 23rd and has already scanned 1,4 million files!

[EDIT: NOD32 on all clients has all Modules active and running]

You might to turn of scanning of network. Its under AMON > Setup > Detection > Media. I'm new to NOD but I have seen this cause problems in alot of products.

Hi there, did you use the Norton Removal Tool after uninstalling Symantec? Please bear in mind that the Norton Removal Tool does not work for the Corporate Edition. The Corporate Edition Removal tool is needed. It is updated often and is provided by Symantec through their FTP site where logon credentials are needed.

Have you tried repairing the Winsock Layer and then IMON?

    Cheers :D

Did you uncheck "network" in the media that gets checked in AMON?

    Hi Folks,

Thanks for the responses, we've now disabled the network scanning and I've got the customer monitoring the situation.

Blackspear - Corporate Removal tool - now i've been after that for a while but have never managed to find it - any links on how too?

    Regards

    Greg.
