    I emailed Eset Australia in regards about getting my user name and password sent to me as I had lost the initial email when I purchased.

    Found out that it will cost me $10 for them to find my details in their database.

    I'm not sure if this is an Australian only thing, but doing a search on this topic in the stickied FAQ showed me that the only thing other countries have to do is submit their joining email in a form, and their user name and password are sent to them (for free).

    Hi Noes, welcome to Wilders.

    Each license sent out in Australia contains the following information:

    ============================================================

    TAX INVOICE AND LICENSE - DO NOT DELETE !!!

    PLEASE PRINT THIS LICENSE AND STORE IT SAFELY !!!

    A $10 SEARCH FEE APPLIES TO REPLACEMENT LICENSES !!!

    ============================================================

    So yes, the Australian Distributor does charge for reissue of licenses to cover administration costs.

    Not really, they have clearly advised charges do apply for lost or deleted licenses and to store the license safely as well as print it out if you don't want to have to pay the charge.

    You also have the option of extending your license or renewing early without losing any time on the license.

    Cheers :D

    Yep, clearly understood.

    My opinion is that if its the same company, and same program, then why make some pay and not others. Just a little annoyed is all...

    It is not the same company, each country has a distributor who handles support for their country when they issue licenses.

    Cheers :D
