XP Home (japanese) and Acronis 9

    Im trying to install Acronis 9 for a japanese friend of mine. he's got windows XP home, japanese version..

    at the end of the installation procedure, acronis seems to ROLL BACK..

    what gives?

    We are sorry for the delayed response.

    First of all, please make sure you are trying to install the latest build (3854) of Acronis True Image 10.0 Home (English version). To get access to updates you should first register your software.

    Could you, please, also do the following in order to make sure that you downloaded the installation file flawlessly?

    - Download the eXpress CheckSum Calculator and unpack the archive;

    - Run the application;

    - Browse for the file and click Start to calculate the checksums;

    The MD5 value for the build 3854 of the English version of Acronis True Image 9.0 Home must be [ ef1cdc1b781dff1229be5a09bc297f06 ]

    If the MD5 value is not [ ef1cdc1b781dff1229be5a09bc297f06 ] then please re-download your Acronis product.

    If it is not the case and the MD5 value is correct but you still not able to install the program, then please remove all registry entries related to any previous Acronis True Image installations using Windows Installer CleanUp Utility and then try to install the free trial version of Acronis True Image 9.0 once again.

    If the issue still persists, collect the installation log file the way it is described in this previous post of mine. Then submit a request for technical support. Attach all the collected files and information to your request along with the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with a solution.
