I followed the advice of Blackspear on the advanced settings. Now I find that my computer is dragging in loading pages and downloading files. Please... how do I get back the default settings? Do I have to uninstall and reinstall NOD? thanks.
I would suggest repairing Winsock ALTERNATIVELY you can do the following: For Windows XP: Click on Start Click on Run Type in cmd Click on OK Type in netsh winsock reset (Please note there are spaces between the netsh and winsock and reset) Press ENTER Restart your computer. Then repair IMON; see post number 55 HERE Let us know how you go... Cheers
Thanks, Blackspear. I haven't lost my connection. I have a cable connection and all is fine that way. What I am finding is that pages seem to load more slowly and whenever I try to play music or listen to broadcasts or download anything, a NOD window pops up and it insists on downloading. I don't want this. I just what the default settings that NOD came with originally. Is there a way to get back to this without having to uninstall and re-install NOD? Thanks.
I went back to the IMON and then changed back from high efficiency to compatibility. That seems to have sped things up and also to take away the downloading window whenever I want to play music or download a file. I guess it comes to the point of "too much security" making life more miserable than it needs to be. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
