I have been trying to find out how to toggle referrer logging on & off in SeaMonkey & Firefox without much success. Some test sites have suggested that firewalls should be configured to do this.

    Question

Can Look n Stop be configured to block referrer logging if so how?

    Many thanks

    Terry

    Hi,

for firefox there are several extensions for blocking/tweaking the referer header available:
    http://labs.beffa.org/sendreferer/

    http://www.stardrifter.org/refcontrol/

However, the referer settings can be changed in firefox by typing about:config in the adress-bar and changing the settings for network.http.sendRefererHeader to either 0 (Never send the referring URL), 1 (referer is sent only on clicked links) or 2 (referer is sent for links and images).
