    I have 2 problems with the scheduler:

    1. One of the scheduled items is not running.

    2. How do you delete an item from teh scheduler?

    Are you talking about a scheduled Task you created?
    Highlight the task and then click the big red "X" (Delete The Selected Task).

    Hello amkmike,

    Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

    We are sorry for the delay with the response.

    Please make sure that you use the latest build (3567) of the corresponding Acronis True Image version which is available in the Product Updates section of your account at Acronis web site.

    You can find the full version name and build number by going to Help -> About... menu in the main program window.

    To get access to updates you should create an account then log in and use your serial number to register your software.

    Note that it is recommended to create new Bootable Rescue CD after installing the update.

    After installing the update please delete all scheduled tasks using the procedure described in this previous post of mine. Then re-create your scheduled tasks anew and see if the problem still persists.

    If the problem still persist after installing the update and re-creating the scheduled tasks then please reinstall Acronis True Image embedded scheduling service in the way described below:

    - Download and run schedmgr.exe application;

    - Issue the following commands:

    service stop
    service uninstall

    - Close schedmgr;

    - Replace schedhlp.exe and schedul2.exe files in the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Acronis\Schedule2 folder with the files from this ZIP archive.

    - Run schedmgr application once again;

    - Issue the following commands:

    service install
    service start

    - Close schedmgr;

    If that does not help then please do the following:

    - Open the command prompt (Start -> Run -> cmd);

    - Run the following command in the folder the schedmgr.exe file was saved to:

    schedmgr get report > schedreport.txt

    - Collect schedreport.txt;

    - Run Acronis Schedule Manager program (schedmgr.exe) once more;

    - Issue the following command:

    set logflags support

    - Schedule backup creation once again;

    - Wait until the scheduled backup will not execute;

    - Collect the log file schedul2.log that is placed in the \Program Files\Common
    Files\Acronis\Schedule2 folder;

    Please also create Acronis Report and Windows System Information as it is described in Acronis Help Post.

    Please submit a request for technical support. Provide the files and information collected in your request along with the step-by-step description of the actions taken before the problem appears and the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with the solution.

    To expand TheWeaz's reply I would also like to mention that you can find more information on how to manage scheduled tasks in Chapter 7 (namely, section 7.2) of Acronis True Image 9.0 Home User's Guide.

    Thank you.

    Re: Problems with Scheduler (suggestions for improving interface)

    Just like amkmike I could'nt figure out how to delete a scheduled task, a question which "The Weaz" answered with admirable brevity, namely highlight the item and click on the big red X.

    It is clear from this that the "Active Tasks" window needs redesign because it is not immediately understood by all users (in particular myself and amkmike) and needs to be improved so that people like me can understand without having to visit the Acronis website for an explanation.

    I can think of two improvements:

    [1] In the window named "Active tasks" put a one or two word text label below each icon. This would help folks like me. Resting the cursor on each icon to decode it using "hover help" is useful, but one can get the big picture much more quickly if the icons are well labeled.

    [2] For menu navigators such as myself, who prefer to rely on words and not icons, the following code should be added: When user clicks on Operations > Schedule Task, the page that pops up ("Schedule Task Wizard") should be revised to include an option labeled "Cancel A Scheduled Task". Clicking on this option would pop up the list of scheduled tasks, along with a blank checkbox beside each task; placing a checkmark in the checkbox and clicking "Apply" would cancel the task.

    Also please include one more option on the "Schedule Task Wizard" page, namely "Edit a Scheduled Task".

    I think these small additions would help make the interface much more user friendly.

    P.S. As a prior user of PowerQuest "Drive Image" and "Drive Copy", I am very favorably impressed so far by Acronis True Image.
